Topic: New Advances in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine


  • Heather Fahlenkamp, R.N. Maddox Associate Professor, School of Chemical Engineering 

Dr. Fahlenkamp’s research specialty is tissue science and engineering, where she holds nine related patents. She uses tissue-engineered models to study the immune response to infectious agents. 

  • Jim Smay, Associate Professor, School of Materials Science and Engineering, OSU-Tulsa 

Dr. Smay is internationally recognized for his research in materials science and engineering. He specializes in making artificial bone materials by 3-D printing.
